This webinar serves as an introduction to the mission of QS and provides a detled explanation of our for evaluating institutions in the QS World University Rankings. We will delve into each indicator, discussing its rationale for inclusion, scope, eligibility criteria for ranking, and what it means to achieve excellence in higher education at both national and institutional levels.

Joining our Panel:

• Florence Webb - Head of Frameworks at QS

  Prior to joining QS, Florence has a decade-long experience in strategic leadership roles within the higher education sector across the UK and Switzerland. Her expertise encompasses strategy development, accreditation quality management, and stakeholder relationship building. She holds an MA Distinction in Applied Linguistics from Birkbeck University of London, alongside her BA Modern Languages from Durham University.

• Ludovic Highman - Strategic Rankings Consultant at QS

  As a strategic rankings consultant and secretary to the QS Global Rankings Advisory Board, Ludovic combines his role with being an Associate Professor in Higher Education Management at the University of Bath. He previously served as a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Global Higher Education based at UCL, contributing research to this field. His teaching interests focus on global and international higher education policies, with publications on European studies intersecting with higher education studies.

• Sam Duke - Rankings Specialist at QS

  With experience in managing magazines, guides, qualitativequantitative research projects including rankings and awards across various sectors, Sam is responsible for designing the methodologies and frameworks of the QS Rankings. He focuses on enhancing their influence through strategic partnerships with institutions globally.
