Directorate for Education and Skills: Driving Better Lives Through Learning

Leadership and Governance
Under the visionary leadership of Director Andreas Schleicher, the Directorate for Education and Skills operates with strategic oversight from four specialized governing bodies:
Education Policy Committee: This committee provides overarching guidance on education policy initiatives and strategies.
Centre for Educational Research and Innovation CERI: CERI advances educational research and innovation by conducting comparative studies that illuminate trs, challenges, and opportunities in global learning environments.
Programme for International Student Assessment PISA Governing Board: This board ensures the integrity and relevance of PISA assessments, which benchmark student performance across diverse countries.
Survey of Adult Skills Governing Board: This body oversees the design and implementation of surveys that assess adult proficiency in essential skills.
