Kennedy Center for International Studies offers academic experiences around the world through various study programs, internships, field schools, and direct enrollment initiatives. I was able to apply my academic skills in real-world settings that I never could have experienced back home, shared James Hodgson, a Political Science major who visited Tanzania for an impact evidence field study. Professor Ty Turley's guidance allowed me to connect theory and practice like never before.
Ashlyn Moore from the Nursing program echoed these sentiments: The Czech Republic internship changed my perspective on healthcare; it was not just about nursing techniques but also cultural insights that will undoubtedly shape my future career trajectory.
Taylor Avei, who embarked on a Biology study in Samoa for rheumatic relief work, highlighted how her experience transced beyond medical knowledge to foster global understanding and collaborative skills: This journey not only equipped me with practical medical skills but also introduced me to the complexities of healthcare systems across cultures. It was truly life-changing.
