Bellevue College's Vision for International Education as a Regional Hub

Bellevue College's Division of International Education and Global Initiatives strives to become the regional hub for international education. We m to provide students, scholars, staff, and faculty with high-quality services that foster holistic learning experiences centered around global understanding.

Our mission is to promote global and cultural awareness within our academic community by delivering robust programs designed to facilitate cross-cultural exchange of knowledge and ideas. To achieve this vision, the International Education Global Initiatives Division IEGI undertakes several key initiatives:

1. Recruitment and Support: We attract students from diverse international backgrounds and provide them with comprehensive support throughout their educational journey – from application through graduation.

2. Compliance Guidance: We educate and advise both international students and scholars on academic programs, ensuring they have a clear understanding of immigration policies.

3. Leadership Development: We offer opportunities for global knowledge acquisition, personal growth, character development, and cultural respect to foster future leaders who are well-versed in diverse perspectives through study and practical experiences.

4. Global Experience Enhancement: The division seeks to facilitate staff, faculty, and administrator participation in international education through various avenues like exchange programs.

5. Facilitating Academic Partnerships: We encourage cross-cultural exchanges for students, faculty, and staff by establishing global partnerships that enrich educational opportunities.

6. Curriculum Integration: We collaborate with faculty members to integrate a global perspective into the curriculum, ming to prepare well-rounded professionals who can navigate international environments effectively.

7. Living and Learning Communities: IEGI creates welcoming spaces like living communities for international students and visitors, promoting interaction and cultural exchange that enhances their educational experience at Bellevue College.

In addition to these initiatives, we operate during standard business hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, offering both in-person and virtual services throughout the year. that our office will be closed on specific dates due to holidays e.g., April 18th, May 27th, June 19th.
